Transition Services-Transition services are services that facilitate and support the movement of high school students with disabilities into adult live activities. The primary role of MRS is to facilitate the transition from school to employment.
"Transfer of Funds" Ageement-Prior to being called "Transfer of Funds" Agreements, agreements were referred to as "Interagency" or "Cash-Match" Agreements. A Transfer of Funds Agreement is created to expand vocational rehabilitation services to a targeted group of individuals such as students with disabilities.
Eligibility-Potential MRS customers are eligible if there is a(an); (a) existence of a physical or mental impairment; (b) substantial impediment to employment; (c) requires MRS services to prepare for, secure, retain or regain employment.
Individualized Plan for Employment (IPE)-Provides vocational counseling to establish appropriate work goals, identify necessary services to reach job goals and to provide workplace adjustments and accommodations.
On-The-Job Training-An employer receives funds to train a student and agrees to put the student on payroll. This is a short-terem arrangement.
Employer of Record-A third party receives funds from MRS to pay a student while they receive on-the-job training. This is a short-term arrangement
